Steve Davis on the return of Aneke

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is delighted that the creative Chuks has agreed to stay with us until the end of the season. The Arsenal youngsters’ deal includes any potential play-off matches and covers our forthcoming Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ties against Coventry City this month.

Steve explained to crewealex.net: “Chuks rang me asking about the possibility of returning here on loan. I left that with him and he returned to Arsenal to see about his future there.

“He then called back and asked if he could come for the rest of the season and we said yes. He came up yesterday and has signed until the end of the season. It was an easy decision for me and everyone and we are delighted he wanted to come back and sign.

“We have added Chuks and now have Brad until the end of the season. They have already shown that they can make a difference in matches with goals or assists. They have been very good additions to our squad and team.”
