Steve Davis says win over Rochdale has come at just the right time in our bid to stay up.

Steve Davis says that our 2-0 win over Rochdale last weekend has enhanced the confidence and belief inside the dressing room.

Crewe Alexandra won their first League One game since November thanks to two first half goals from Marcus Haber and Brad Inman and come into this weekend’s home game Walsall on the back of a four game unbeaten run.

The Alex boss told the club’s official web-site: “It has been a good week after our win last weekend. It does make a difference and we have had some good days of training.

“You have to get the balance right because we don’t want to pick up an unnecessary injures at this stage of the season. We have done some extensive work and had a rest day and the players are all looking forward to the game.

“We have had a relatively settled side for a time now but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t change it. I have kept the same team this season and then we have been beaten in the next game, so it is now always as straight forward as it seems.
