Collins' side lose out in Nottingham

Crewe Alexandra U21's couldn't build on their impressive victory over Cardiff last week after going down 3-1 against Nottingham Forest.

The Alex fielded an experienced side with the likes of Chris Atkinson, Harry Davis and new loan man Danny Haynes starting and they took the lead in the first half through Callum Saunders, but the hosts levelled on the stroke of half-time when Lars Veldwijk headed home Jamie Paterson's cross.

But Forest took control after the break with Paterson's free-kick and Josh Rees' header condemning the U21's to a fourth defeat of the campaign.
