Late Ainley strike gives Crewe victory
Callum Ainley struck late in Birmingham as Alex Morris' Under 23 side snatched victory against the Blues.The game looked to be heading towards a goalless draw before Ainley swept home on 84 minutes to send the Alex back to Cheshire with all three points.
Earlier on, Daniel Udoh put a first half penalty wide of the target before the hosts had a goal chalked off via Jack Storer.
The results gets the side back to winning ways after a defeat to Coventry and draw with Bolton in the previous two outings, and a second clean sheet of the season was a welcome bonus.
