The Alex’s Under 18’s couldn’t make it four wins in a row to end the calendar on a high after a 2-0 defeat to Hull City.
Kenny Lunt & his staff were left scratching their heads at full-time after an utterly dominant performance against the Tigers, with the cutting edge in front of goal proving the eventual downfall.
As Crewe pushed even harder late on to force a deserved winner, they were twice unpicked on the counter on 84 & 87 minutes as Hull stole victory.
Lunt’s lads still end the year in second place in the U18 PDL2 table & look ready to push on in the New Year with an away game at Nottingham Forest on January 7.
