Turton: "Intensity Has Been Key"

23 February 2017

Ollie turton says belief and confidence has returned on the back of going on the front foot.

Ollie Turton says that the main ingredient for the change in the club’s fortunes has been an improvement in intensity both in training and in the matches. Turton’s incredible fitness levels told again on Saturday was evident once again at Blackpool last Saturday when the right-back popped up in the opposition box to score a deserved 88th minute equaliser.

Ahead of this weekend’s home game against Stevenage, Turts told crewealex.net: “The intensity in training and then taking that into the games has been miles better. We cannot stop now, because for me it’s been the most important thing.

“We have been trying to get on top of teams and press them and I think the supporters can see the difference. All the lads are working hard and it’s paid off in the last three games for us. We want to work hard and make sure to see our quality come through.

“The manager has come in and worked on the confidence. We had to believe we were good enough and that we were a good side. I think that is coming back now but we have to keep it going.”
