Steve Hopes To Keep Working With Kiwomya

Boss wants to continue Alex's development at Crewe

It's almost decision time for Chelsea, Alex Kiwomya & his representatives with his initial six-month Crewe Alex loan due to expire in January.

Manager Steve Davis hopes to extended the wingers' loan until the end of the season after an impressive spell at the Club featuring seven goals in 19 appearances.

A regular starter in the team, Davis is hoping to continue Kiwomya's development in South Cheshire beyond his initial term so he can return to Chelsea in the summer with a full season of regular competitive football under his belt.

Steve said: "It's an easy decision from our end because of what he's achieved here.

"At the moment he's scoring goals & he's making goals. He's playing every week & we've done the things we promised Chelsea that we'd do to try & get the best out of Alex Kiwomya.

"We've used our skills to try & help Alex develop as a player & we've done that with him coming here. The other Clubs that he went on loan to couldn't get that out of him, we have, & we want to continue to do that.

"We think this is the best place for him at the moment. If he goes somewhere else then he's got to start again with another manager who might not see what we've seen in him.

"Alex knows this, we've had a conversation with him & he's on board. He's comfortable & settled with his family in the area & he's enjoying his football - they are the qualities that you need to be successful as a footballer."
