Steve Davis pleased with professional away display at the Matchroom Stadium.

"It is a difficult place to come to and to get three points is a great result for us because I don't think we have ever come to Orient and controlled a game as much as we did today. It's three points and we have moved back into the top seven. We will continue to strive to be where we want to be and I'm sure the fans will have a good journey home."

"It was a really good team performance and the hard work was there for everyone to see. That was typified by Daggers, who worked his socks off against his former club. He ran and ran and didn't give their defenders a moments rest. It was just a shame that he didn't get the goal on his return but the supporters appreciated his work rate and he got a good reception.

"Getting that second goal gave us that comfort and we prepared for the second half because we knew they would probably make some changes and have a go but we defended well, dropped in and could have scored one or two more ourselves.

"We had a plan but on a matchday it is down to the players to execute that and they did. They were really disciplined and we kept our shape after getting those two goals in the first half. I was really pleased with them and we restricted them to those long balls. It was a great finish from George and a well worked team goal. Harry has popped up for the second one and I was surprised to see him there but it was a composed finish and that second goal gave us an extra edge.

Following the 2-0 win at the Matchroom Stadium, Steve told the club's official web-site: "We controlled the game well today and scoring that first goal certainly helped because we haven't been able to do that too much. We have usually conceded the first goal and then had to chase the game. We have showed character to come back in those games to get those draws and we showed character today when going in front.

First half goals from George Cooper and Harry Davis placed Crewe Alexandra in the driving seat and the 2-0 win sees us move back into the top seven. It was a really good display from the Railwaymen, who controlled much of the game and looked the more threatening side throughout.
