Steve Davis gives us his post-match reaction from Blundell Park following 2-0 win

On the injury to Alex, the gaffer told us: "It looks as though Alex has popped his shoulder out. He landed heavily on that side and he was in a lot of pain. I'm not sure if we have been able to pop it back in yet but he has gone to the local hospital and we will know more then. If he has popped it out then he could be out for a few weeks with that. "

"It was the same with Jonah's goal. We have been encouraging him to take chances and get into the box. It is a ratio thing. If you get in there six or seven times, then something will drop for you. He bundled or bobbled it in but he won't mind and it is another goal for him."

"We were delighted for George because we have been encouraging him to get forward and he got his reward. Daggers is great at reading those chances to intercept things and then Ryan has got his head up to find George's run. It was a great pass and a real tidy finish from George.

"He then made another second save to deny Lowe right after half-time. It could have been 3-0 but it was still 1-0 and that gives them hope but we defended well throughout. The two banks of four we had were difficult to penetrate for them and we played the conditions with the wind well. It was a real team effort and we were solid and I'm delighted with them.

"I thought that if we had scored the penalty and gone in 2-0 then that would have been deserved. It happens and Daggers is a good penalty taker. He practices them and scores 9 out 10 in training. Today, he missed one. He hit it well enough and it looked a good save from their goalkeeper.

Following a deserved win at Blundell Park, Steve told the club's official web-site: "It was a really professional performance from us today. We looked really solid and I thought we looked a strong unit, and I couldn't see them scoring unless it was a 30 yard strike that we couldn't do anything about. I couldn't see them scoring and we really controlled that first half.
