Lowe Relishing Dagnall Partnership

22 July 2016

Ryan Lowe says competition is good as Crewe prepare for new season.

Crewe Alexandra striker Ryan Lowe is relishing the chance to team-up with his old pal Chris Dagnall in a new look strike force but the 37-year-old appreciates that he also faces competition for his place from the emerging Daniel Udoh and Callum Saunders.

Lowe signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year after deciding to end his long association with Bury this summer. Meanwhile, Dagnall, 30, who has over 100 career goals to his name joined Crewe after a spell with Hibs in the SPL last season.

Lowe said: "I've known Daggers since he played at Tranmere with my cousin. “We’re building our partnership and hopefully we can score some goals."

"We've shown a few signs of what we can do up play. We're paid to score goals and potentially get us out of this league and we're relishing it."

Lowe will be hoping to be involved against Bolton Wanderers this evening after missing the mid-week game at Nantwich due to a tooth infection.

Kick-off is 7.30pm this evening with tickets priced at £4 adults, £2 for seniors and £1 for juniors.
