James Jones Called Up By Scotland U21's

28 September 2016

Midfielder drafted into squad for qualifiers

Crewe Alexandra midfielder James Jones has been called up by Scotland Under 21 Manager Scot Gemmill for the upcoming U21 European Championship Qualifiers in Iceland & Macedonia.

This is Jones' first call-up to the U21 set-up, having been a regular for the Tartan Army in the U19's.

The 20-year-old is available for Crewe's match against Mansfield on Saturday, before linking up with Scotland on Sunday in preparation for the games in Reykjavik on October 5 and Skopje on October 11.

Jones will miss Crewe's Checkatrade Trophy clash with Wolves and the League Two trip to Luton Town before rejoining the squad on October 12 in preparation for the trip to Notts County.

We at the Club would like to congratulate James on his first Scotland U21 call-up.
