Europe go into the Ryder Cup as underdogs despite having won each of the last three, and it’s to the likes of Justin Rose and the in-form Rory McIlroy they’ll turn with Darren Clarke’s side including six rookies, compared to just two for the US.

McIlroy is favourite to be top-scorer at 6/1, ahead of Dustin Johnson at 7/1. Jordan Spieth is 9/1 from 11/1 shot Rose, whose potential playing partner Henrik Stenson is next at 12/1.
