Academy product's deal extended by further year
Crewe Alexandra winger George Cooper has had the one-year option triggered on his current contract to keep him at the Alexandra Stadium until summer 2018.The home-grown 20-year-old's deal was due to expire this coming June, but the Club inserted an option into the contract for the ability to extend that deal by 12-months.
Cooper has thrived in League Two this season, notching eight goals in 47 appearances whilst also providing nine assists for his team mates.
The wing-wizard made his debut in September 2014 & has since gone on to play over 100 games for the Alex.
Crewe have formally implemented the option with the EFL & it's now confirmed that Cooper will remain an Alex player until at least June 2018.
