Lunt's side faced with tough task in round one
Crewe Alexandra's Under 18's will travel to Sheffield United in the FA Youth Cup First Round after the draw was made this afternoon.Kenny Lunt's side couldn't have faced a tougher task to begin their 2016/17 journey, with the Blades also riding high in the U18 PDL2 - the same division as Crewe.
Last season, the side reached round two, knocking out Blackpool after extra time in the first round before going out at Coventry City - another side from the same division 2-0.
Lunt said: "It's one of the toughest draws you could get in the first round.
"Having said that, we have already beaten Sheffield United 4-3 in the league so far this season and we'll go into the game confident that we can progress."
Match date & ticket information will be announced in due course, with the tie needing to be played no later than Saturday 5 November.
