Daggers: "It Should Be A Good Game"

23 February 2017

Chris Dagnall targets more home points against in-form Stevenage this weekend.

Chris Dagnall is looking forward to trying to extend our unbeaten run against Stevenage this weekend. The Alex will be looking for a league double after previously beating Boro on the opening day of the season and Dagnall believes that the home supporters can help us achieve another good result against one of League Two’s most in-form teams.

Ahead of our clash at Gresty Road this Saturday, Daggers told us: “The Stevenage game should be a good game of football. They are in great form and we have picked up recently, so we will prepare for it and I’m sure the manager and staff here will have the game plan. It is up to us as players to carry that out.

“We are at home and we have picked up two great results recently, so this is another great opportunity for us, to play well and get a result.

“Stevenage have some really good experienced players and I know Matty Godden because I was with him at Scunthorpe when he was younger. He is a good player and one we will have to keep an eye on.

“The supporters were fantastic at Blackpool. It was great to see and hopefully we will give them something more to shout about come Saturday.”
