Bingham relieved to finally be off the mark
Crewe Alexandra midfielder Billy Bingham revealed his delight at notching his first goal for the Club on his 27th appearance in the epic 4-3 defeat to Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup.The former Dagenham man failed to find the net in his debut season at Gresty Road, but has struck early this campaign with a bolt out of the blue, setting him up for the remainder of the campaign.
He told Player HD: "It's been a long time coming, it's a massive weight off my shoulders and I wish I could've done it earlier.
"It's nice to get off the mark. Coops done a little touch and it's fell to me and it looked nice and sat up perfectly.
"I got carried away with the next one then which set up Dags! But I'm delighted to get off the mark.
"The Manager has encouraged me to just keep shooting from them positions and I'm finding myself in those positions this year, so hopefully I'll get a few more."
