Bingham & Saunders Ruled Out

20 January 2017

Billy Bingham and Callum Saunders ruled out at Doncaster clash.

David Artell has revealed that midfielder Billy Bingham is making progress after suffering a thigh injury and that he is ahead of schedule for a return. The new Crewe boss feared losing Bingham for between 4-6 weeks, but physio Rob Sharp believes that the former Dagenham man could be back training within weeks.

David explained to crewealex.net: “Billy has responded well and Rob says he is making good progress. We are hoping to have him back quicker than we thought.

“He has tweaked his hamstring but he has responded to the treatment and I think it will be a few weeks rather than 4-6 weeks. That is good news because we want everyone available because players are no good to me if they are injured.

“The only other concern is Callum Saunders. He pulled his hamstring on Monday and will be out for two weeks.”
