Crewe boss remains hopeful on signing new players during January.

David Artell admits that a potential transfer target has stalled a little over the weekend but he remains optimistic about bringing in new players ahead of the closure of the transfer widow.

The newly appointed Crewe manager told the club’s official web-site: “I remain hopeful and optimistic over bringing players into the club.

“One has stalled over a player. The other club has dragged his feet a little but we are still in the arena to get players in. Hopefully, something can happen sooner rather than later on that.”
