Artell Aiming For Improvement

Crewe Alexandra boss wants to get us going in the right direction after securing our EFL status

David Artell has stated that he wished the season was continuing for at least another 20 games. The Crewe Alexandra boss succeeded Steve Davis in January and a recent 3-0 win over Leyton Orient secured our EFL status, but Artell is looking for vast improvement as we head into the 2017/18 season.

The Crewe boss told the club’s official web-site: “I wish there was 20 games to go, I really do. I’ve enjoyed it but we are where we are at the moment.

“We will be looking to improve next season. That is the aim. We will have a break and go again. We have two games to go and I want us to put a performance on and try and win the games.

“I think we have improved since January when we were heading in the wrong direction. Now we have to improve, work hard and get us heading in the right direction again.”
