Dave Artell gives us his post match reaction from Huish Park following disappointing defeat.

"We looked good on the ball at times, but we didn't threaten their goal enough. It isn't about coming here and playing some nice stuff and passing the ball about, it is so much more than that. We had a job to do and we what we served up was awful today. They have to be at it next week. I will give the benefit of the doubt to some, but others I can't. We will have to look at it."

"They were two cheap goals again. We had worked all week about defending our box, having that desire to get their head of things and we have conceded from two free-kicks and then from a second phase at a corner. It wasn't good enough. I thought Perry was fine, I thought Billy Bingham was fine when we lost George (Ray) and when your two centre-halves are the ones coming out with a little bit of credit and we have lost 3-0 then that says it all.

"I am not one for excuses. That is not my style but we have got to work a lot harder than that. For me that was the worst since I took over. It was worse than Exeter, the second half at Hartlepool and at Accrington. The worst for me because of the effort levels. If there are players out there who do not want to play for the club or think they are already on the beach, or whatever, I don't know, but I've been consistent about the effort and that was not acceptable. They can have off days but they have got to run around because they are of no benefit to the club if they don't.

Artell told the club's official web-site: "It was not acceptable and I've told them that. Four or five them tried and the others, well it wasn't acceptable. I don't care if we have got three or 30 games left they have got a job to do. They are well paid and they have got to work and put the graft in. They have to roll their sleeves up and work hard. When they serve that up then it only puts extra pressure on them for next week, regardless of who we are playing. I feel sorry for the fans that have come down, I think there was 150 or so and I can only apologise to them.

A disappointed David Artell could not disguise his feelings after seeing Yeovil Town go above us in the League Two table thanks to a 3-0 win this afternoon. Crewe were our own worst enemies when conceding two free-kicks that were punished in the first half and then Otis Khan reacted quickest to convert a rebound after Zoko's header had been turned on to the crossbar in the 70th minute.
