Yeovil Paper Review

What the press made of the score draw in Somerset

The Sentinel
After going five straight league games without recording a point, Davis was happy to see his side leave Yeovil with a point, three days after Crewe picked up their first win of the season at home to Port Vale.
Davis was again full of praise for his front two of Marcus Haber and Vadaine Oliver who worked tirelessly again all evening.
And it was from Oliver's workrate, chasing down what seemed a lost cause that created Crewe's first goal after nicking the ball from Jakub Sokolik as he tried to shield the ball out of play on the touchline.

The Chronicle
STEVE Davis says Crewe deserved their first point on the road this season  – earned with a gritty display at Yeovil on Tuesday night.
The Railwaymen followed up their derby win over Port Vale with a battling share of the spoils at Huish Park.
Billy Waters gave them the lead midway through the second half but Kieffer Moore equalised for the hosts 18 minutes from time.
Then the Alex had to dig in for a point and rode their luck when the Glovers smacked a post near the end.
But manager Steve Davis will be pleased his men have taken another step forward as they look to make their dismal start to their League One campaign a distant memory.

Western Gazette
GARY Johnson conceded a draw with Crewe Alexandra was two points lost as Yeovil Town’s long wait for a home win continued.
The Glovers edged an uninspiring first half at Huish Park in Sky Bet League One before their sloppy start to the second almost saw them on the receiving end of a defeat.
Billy Waters gave the visitors the lead before substitute Kieffer Moore headed Yeovil back into contention.
Joel Grant rattled the upright in the dying seconds, as Johnson’s men continued to boast a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in March as their most recent South Somerset success.
