Crewe Alexandra will aim to fight back from behind and earn a place in the League Two Play-Off Final when they visit Doncaster Rovers tonight (Friday, 8pm).

The Railwaymen, unbeaten in four on the road, start the Semi-Final second-leg 2-0 down but hope to be strengthened by players returning from injury.

The Opposition

Doncaster Rovers extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games with their 2-0 win at Mornflake Stadium on Monday.

Rovers have won their last eight games at Eco-Power Stadium, including a success at the expense of the Alex back in March.

The Gaffer

Former West Ham youth player Grant McCann played over 500 games throughout his career, including 100 for Peterborough, before starting out as a coach.

He has been Posh boss twice, took charge of Hull City between 2019-2022, and was appointed manager at Doncaster for a second time at the end of last season

Fighting Talk

Lee Bell: “We’ve got to be positive. We’ve given ourselves a big task away from home against the league’s form team, but we are putting a plan together. We will go there looking to score goals. It’s a test for us and one we are willing to take on."

Grant McCann: “We are going out to win the game, there has been no thinking other than that. The fans have been great all season and there has been a real atmosphere.”

Head-to-Head

The two sides have met 110 times. Doncaster has won 45 compared to Crewe's 38. The remaining 27 games have been drawn.
