Fears that Conor Thomas is out for the season have been allayed.

That’s according to Ryan Dicker, who says the midfielder’s hamstring injury is not as severe as first thought.

The Assistant Manager also reported good news regarding Christopher Long (thigh) but it was less positive on fellow striker Courtney Baker-Richardson.

Dicker said: “We thought Conor Thomas was out for the season but it looks like he will be back.

“Wrexham might be one game too soon but hopefully he will be available for the Colchester game.

“Chris Long isn’t too far away and he might be available for a small amount of time against Grimsby on Saturday but, if that’s too soon, he’ll be available for Wrexham.

“Courtney had a setback with a calf injury and we are waiting on some scan results to learn the extent of that injury.”

Jack Powell (knee), Luke Offord (ankle) and Owen Lunt (back) remain sidelined, while Ed Turns (hamstring) is not fit to play.
